新型大视场消杂光眼底相机光学系统的设计被引量:17

设计了一款大视场、免散瞳便携式眼底相机。综合考虑接目物镜被成像和照明系统共用、人眼的像差和视度差异等因素,采用16重结构进行优化设计。设计结果的视场角达60°,分辨率为200万像素,对-8D~+10D(1D=1m-1)的人眼普遍适用,在120lp/mm处各视场的调制传递函数(MTF)均大于0.2,畸变小于5%。为消除角膜反射产生的严重杂散光,提出采用LED环形光源改进传统科勒式照明光路,不仅保证眼底照明均匀,而且大大提高了系统的光能利用率,降低了光学系统的复杂程度。为了解决传统系统中接目物镜杂散光无法消除的难题,提出采用偏振分光棱镜代替系统中的分光镜,同时在接目物镜前端加入λ/4波片,消除了99.5%以上的由接目物镜反射产生的杂光。

Automated design of freeform imaging systems被引量:13

The automated design of imaging systems involving no or minimal human effort has always been the expectation of scientists,researchers and optical engineers.In addition,it is challenging to choose an appropriate starting point for an optical system design.In this paper,we present a novel design framework based on a point-by-point design process that can automatically obtain high-performance freeform systems.This framework only requires a combination of planes as the input based on the configuration requirements or the prior knowledge of designers.This point-by-point design framework is different from the decadeslong tradition of optimizing surface coefficients.Compared with the traditional design method,whereby the selection of the starting point and the optimization process are independent of each other and require extensive amount of human effort,there are no obvious differences between these two processes in our design framework,and the entire design process is mostly automated.This automated design process significantly reduces the amount of human effort required and does not rely on advanced design skills and experience.To demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed design framework,we successfully designed two highperformance systems as examples.This point-by-point design framework opens up new possibilities for automated optical design and can be used to develop automated optical design in the areas of remote sensing,telescopy,microscopy,spectroscopy,virtual reality and augmented reality.

Lightweight spatial-multiplexed dual focal-plane head-mounted display using two freeform prisms被引量:7

Accommodation and convergence play critical roles in the natural viewing of three-dimensional (3D) scenes, and these must be accurately matched to avoid visual fatigue. However, conventional stereoscopic head- mounted displays lack the ability to adjust accommodation cues. This is because they only have a single, fixed image plane, but the 3D virtual objects generated by a pair of stereoscopic images are displayed at different depths, either in front or behind the focal plane. Therefore, in order to view objects clearly, the eyes are forced to converge on those objects while maintaining accommodation fixed on the image plane. By employing freeform optical surfaces, we design a lightweight and wearable spatial-multiplexed dual focal-plane head-mounted display. This display can adjust the accommodation cue in accordance with the convergence cue as well as generate the retinal blur cue. The system has great potential applications in both scientific research and commercial market.

Accommodation and convergence play critical roles in the natural process of depth perception, and the field of natural three-dimensional (3D) perception in stereo displays has been extensively explored. However, no prototypes of these natural 3D displays are suitable for wear due to the system size and weight. In addition, few of the researches have involved subjects with ametropia. We propose and develop an optical see-through head-mounted display (HMD) capable of diopter adjustment of both the virtual image and the real world scene. The prototype demonstrates a diagonal field of view (NOV) of 42° and an exit pupil diameter of 9 mnl, and a diopter adjustment range of -5.5D to 0D. Depth adjustment of virtual image is demonstrated with experiments, the results show the HMD can be further used to investigate the accommodation and convergence cues in depth perception in AR environment, particularly for users with different degree of the ametropia.

双变量正交多项式描述光学自由曲面被引量:15

推导了单位圆域和单位方域内的双变量正交多项式曲面的数学模型,详细分析了将不同正交多项式曲面应用于自由曲面拟合的精度问题。采用均匀随机、阵列分布和环状辐射三种采样方式,并选择具有代表性的普通非球面、自由曲面以及Peaks自由曲面进行了大量的拟合实验。实验结果表明:三种采样方法中,阵列采样的拟合适应度最高;XY多项式和正交XY多项式的拟合适应度最高;方域和圆域内正交的泽尼克多项式在曲面拟合中优势显著;双变量正交切比雪夫多项式在方域内、阵列采样的情况下曲面拟合优势明显。

大景深高清硬性内窥镜光学系统的优化设计被引量:18

设计了一种高清成像的硬性内窥镜。通过控制特征光线在中继透镜表面上的入射高度和出射角,可保证有效视场和通光孔径内所有的光线在口径为2.7mm的透镜组中正常传播。将入瞳直径提高到0.3mm,使物方分辨率优于21lp/mm,角分辨率为8.45C/(°)。同时有效避免棒镜内壁的全反射杂光导致像质下降。系统成像质量达到了衍射极限,调制传递函数值在空间频率120lp/mm处大于0.3;通过将系统设置为多重物距的结构实现大景深设计。加入目镜优化设计后,整体系统的调制传递函数值在空间频率3lp/mrad处为0.1,达到了人眼的分辨极限。测试验证表明,完成研制的内窥镜系统分辨率达到设计值。
