This paper deals with the problem of tracking control for a class of high order nonlinear systems with input delay. The unknown continuous functions of the system are estimated by fuzzy logic systems (FLS). A state conversion method is introduced to eliminate the delayed input item. By means of the backstepping algorithm, the property of semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded (SGUUB) of the closed-loop system is achieved. The stability of the closed-loop system is proved according to Lyapunov second theorem on stability. The tracking error is proved to be bounded which ultimately converges to an adequately small compact set. Finally, a computer simulation example of high order nonlinear systems is presented, which illustrates the effectiveness of the control scheme.

The problem of passivity analysis for a class of discrete-time stochastic neural networks (DSNNs) with time-varying interval delay was investigated. The delay-dependent sufficient criteria were derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The results are shown to be generalization of some previous results and are less conservative than the existing works. Meanwhile, the computational complexity of the obtained stability conditions is reduced because less variables are involved. A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness and the benefits of the proposed method.
The problem of the stability for a class of stochastic systems with time-varying interval delay and the norm-bounded uncertainty is investigated. Utilizing the information of both the lower and the upper bounds of the interval time-varying delay, a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is constructed. The delay-dependent sufficient criteria are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which can be easily checked by the LMI in the Matlab toolbox. Based on the Jensen integral inequality, neither model transformations nor bounding techniques for cross terms is employed, so the derived criteria are less conservative than the existing results. Meanwhile, the computational complexity of the obtained stability conditions is reduced because no redundant matrix is introduced. A numerical example is given to show the effectiveness and the benefits of the proposed method.
This paper concerns the robust stability analysis of uncertain systems with time delays as random variables drawn from some probability distribution. The delay-distribution-dependent criteria for the exponential stability of the original system in mean square sense are achieved by Lyapunov functional method and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique. The proposed approach involves neither free weighting matrices nor any model transformation, and it shows that the new criteria can provide less conservative results than some existing ones. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and the benefits of the proposed method.
