The application of the natural dyes extracted from grapes skin in dye-sensitized solar cells as the photosensitive agents was investigated. Two samples battery capability were tested in the dye-sensitized solar cells. The results show that the grapes skin pigment possesses a wide absorption near the 520nm.The hydrogen bonds are easy formed between the hydroxy of anthocyanin pigment existing in the grapes skin pigment and the surface oxygen of TiO2,that leads the grapes skin pigment to display the excellent properties in photoelectric conversion comparing with the red roses pigment.Under the sunlight shinning, the grapes skin pigment dye-sensitized solar cells can produce a max photocurrent of 60μA and a steady open voltage of 0.4V,the results demonstrate that the photosensitive agent is a good photoelectricity conversion material.
