Well-dispersed multi-walled cabon nanotubes(MWCNTs) were successfully incorporated into a supramolecular hydrogel through combining dual roles of poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly[(2-dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate](PEG-b-PDMAEMA) copolymer in dispersing MWCNTs and forming inclusion complexes with α-cyclodextrin(α-CD).Rheological behaviors of supramolecular hydrogels were investigated. The resultant hybrid hydrogels were found to be shear thinning and could be applied as a promising injectable drug delivery system. The mechanical strength of the hybrid hydrogels was greatly improved in comparison with that of the corresponding native hydrogels.
